God Fiskehelse AS began daily operations on 01.08.2025 and offers certification from BUREAU VERITAS Certification (ASC and GLOBALG.A.P) and DEKRA Certification (ISCC), consulting services, and trademarks (see links to services/offers).

General Manager Trygve Helle is the only person working full time in the company.  Art student Ingeborg Helle is engaged up to 20% part time as Design Responsible.

The company was founded by Trygve Helle in 2012 to build a fish health chain for producers of farmed fish in collaboration with regional fish health services.

The concept was that aquaculture operators should manage their own fish health services and preventive fish health work—by coordinating internal and external fish health expertise in an EU-adapted producer organization.

Because good fish health is the most important factor for the sustainability and reputation of aquaculture operators!

God Fiskehelse AS was a response to the establishment of Fishguard (now Stim). The experience base included:

• The projects “Aquaculture Program in Vesterålen” (1990-91) in the Vesterålen Regional Council, including the “Vesterålen model” and a series of fish health courses
• “Quality Service for Aquaculture” (1992-94) in the Veterinary Service for Aquaculture AS
• The producer organization and quality system Stiftelsen Havbrukerne (1994-1995)
• Joint procurement of fish health services in Vesterålslaks / Arctic Quality Seafood (AQS) AS (1996–2001)
• Joint procurement of fish medicines through the purchasing group ANTILUS and later FRISK-FISK (1997-2006)
• In Havbrukerne and Vesterålslaks / Arctic Quality Seafood (AQS) AS, fish health services were purchased from Vesterålen Fiskehelsetjeneste AS (now DNV Åkerblå), supported by SND’s network program. Antilus medicines and vaccines were procured via FRISK-FISK with Nordvest Fiskehelse as the responsible expert.

Havbrukstjenesten AS was one of the fish health services that God Fiskehelse AS was in dialogue with during its establishment in 2012. God Fiskehelse AS was put on hold when Havbrukstjenesten AS went solo and began its development and growth toward today’s Åkerblå and DNV.
